This week's challenge is to use buttons on our cards. I used the stamp set from Stampin up and then added buttons to the flower balloons. I am not big on using buttons but really did enjoy this challenge.
I just came back from Regionals with Stampin Up and I will post my swaps. Regionals was a lot fun- met some great people.
When I went in for a simple gallbladder removal, it turned out to be much more! I haven't been able to craft since May- but I am back and ready to roll! A big thank you to all my Corrossive Challenge friends for the support.

This month our sponsor is Saturated Canary!
The challenge for the first week in August is You say it's your Birthday. Create a birthday themed card.
I used Party Hardy from our sponsor. I love this image, I coloured her with pencil and copics. I added some bling to the cupcake and used Stampin Up Party Hearty stamp because , well it just fit. It is hard to see but she is all in blues, yellows and greens(my next goal is to use my camera properly).Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-65760600141985782802012-04-29T06:29:00.000-07:002012-04-29T06:29:09.536-07:00Tim Holtz- The Man, The Myth,The Legend

This week over at the Corrosive Challenge is to create a card using Tim Holtz products. You know, I have watched him on you tube demonstrating and have bought his stamps and inks but I still struggle. This is my first attempt trying to get the "Tim Hotlz" look. I used distress inks and smeared them on a placemat, I then added water and laid my paper into the ink to get the background colour. I used this stamp collection from his ideaology set(I really like the dude image). I am in for gallbladder surgery on May 1st and hopefully that will put an end to my stomach problems- Fingers crossed!Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-61741609809321825742012-04-15T07:07:00.000-07:002012-04-15T07:07:00.118-07:00Hit the Bottle!Hit the Bottle!

This week's corrosive challenge is to" hit the bottle" Now I know what everyone is thinking- what a great challenge the cards will look like crap because we are all loopy from drinking but sadly it isn't that kinda of challenge. You are to use anything that comes in a bottle for crafting. Examples would be stickles, liquid pearls, etc. For this card I used Stampin Up's upsy daisy set(still one of my fave sets) and bleach. The card is old navy, basic black, whisper whire and crumb cake, all Stampin up. A very basic but effective card. I am now off to really "hit the bottle" enjoy the challenge!
Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-35241086173067062142012-04-01T07:07:00.000-07:002012-04-01T07:07:01.191-07:00Heavy Metal!
Well, I can't believe it is April already! We ended March off with snow, but it is looking much better now. April is Autism Awarness Month and I will be posting about all the fun things the family is doing to celebrate. We are starting off by wearing our shirts to works on Monday whuch say I Love someone with Autism and lighting our house with blue lights(tells everyone someone lives here with Autism).

On with the challenge, this month's sponser is Dilly Beans and I have to say I really like her images. This week at the corrosive challenge is Heavy Metal, so adorn your card with some metal. I used some hodgepodge hardware from Stampin Up and made some metal butterflies to attach to go along with her hair. I have been pretty sick for the last three weeks and my team mate Regan chose this awesome image for me- Thanks so much she was fun to colour.

Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-51975625227608565342012-03-04T16:29:00.003-08:002012-03-04T16:40:51.458-08:00Give Piece a chance!

This week over at the Corrosive Challenge was to give piece a chance. I used Crissy's prom from this month's sponserSassy Studio Designs. I really only learned how to piece images about a year ago and only do it occasionally, so I was happy when this challenge came due. I really liked this image and" pieced her prom dress and added a corsage to her waist. I thought she looked a little goth like so I gave her black and gray hair. I used Stampin Up paper from the Sale-a-bration cattie and the saying "celebrate your fabulousness" is from Stampin up's Hattitude set. On a side note, I have gotten a surgey date to have my gallbladder removed-May 1st- only a couple of months of this bland diet and maybe I can start to feel normal again. I hope everyone joins in the challenge and "give piece a chance"!
Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-59789585525210633662012-02-18T07:49:00.000-08:002012-02-18T16:56:06.450-08:00Add a Dimension This week's corrosive challenge was to add a dimension to a card. I made this ruffle "Hope" card. All the ruffles are lifted by spots of tape and the butterfly is lifted by a pop dot. I know that this card is for Breast Cancer awarness but I think it should celebrate "hope" for all cancers. I never did get all the different colours, I have overcome brain cancer which is a gray ribbon(not the best colour in my opinion) So lets lift up" hope" not just this month but every month of the year.

Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-17668887350274495052012-02-04T09:00:00.000-08:002012-02-05T06:08:19.590-08:00Love Bites

This week's challenge over at the corrosive challenge is Love Bites.I took it in a different direction. All of us at the Corrosive Challenge would like to welcome our new team members! I hope everyone had a great Christmas, mine wasn;t the best as I was sick with what I thought was the flu but it seems to be something with my gallbladder, I am still waiting for test results. Anyways, this weeks challenge is to ring in thenew Year with something new. Well, I received the Pretties Kit by Stampin up for Christmas and this was my first chance to play with it. I choose to make a clean and simple Valentine card and topped it off with ta beaded stick pin and some halfback pearls from the kit. I also received my first movers and shakers die by Tim Holtz and that is next on my list to play. My New Year's goal is to use what I have instead of just buying and storing and to donate what I never will use(this may be hard, as I have a tendacy to hoard).Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-76585086176698664422011-12-11T08:48:00.000-08:002011-12-11T08:53:44.065-08:00Anything but Christmas!Well, this weeks corrosive challenge was anything but Christmas. I used this month's sponser and made a cocoa card. The weather is getting colder and hot chocolate is always warming all around. I can't believe it is almost Christmas! My son is turning 20 on Tuesday, so in amongst Christmas shopping I have to birthday shop as well. It's funny, all the Christmas stamps I own and I still haven't started my Christmas cards. I guess I better get into gear. I hope everyone takes some time forthemselves and enjoy the Christmas Season.

Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-52670287145089804052011-11-27T07:00:00.000-08:002011-11-27T07:00:00.919-08:00CASE a member

This week over at the corrosive challenge is to CASE a member. The card is outlined with sparkly stickers and is layered with Stampin Up designer paper, in amongst his beard are red pearls. I think but am not sure that Thanksgiving is coming up in the States, since I am Canadian, we have already celebrated it, but anytime to say thank you or give thanks is a good time. This card I used pumpkin houser from our sponser inktegrity I also used pumpkin pie cardstock and dsp. This week at the Corrosive challenge was to use a flourish on the card. i know mine is small but I really love this image. Almost Halloween! I love handing out(and eating) the candy. This card I cased but not sure who from, I want to say Michelle Zindorf but if it was yours, please tell me and I will give credit where credit is deserved. I sponged the background and embossed the Haunted wheel. All my wheels are cut apart so I can see what I am stamping. Simple card but very striking.Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-14259089097642780752011-10-19T07:00:00.000-07:002011-10-19T07:00:02.809-07:00Halloween Cards

I am one that does give them out. The first card is really simple with an embossed background from Cuttlebug and three bats from a Stampin up set that I can't think of the name(any help would be appreciated). The saying is from Holiday Best(Stampin Up).

This card I brought out the Fiendish Friends from Stampin Up and coloured with pencil crayons. i love this set. I added a couple of crystal skulls to accent the page.
Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-65465380154971186122011-10-16T07:00:00.000-07:002011-10-16T07:00:04.796-07:00Things that Fly

This week's corrossive challenge was Things that Fly. I decided to use one of our sponsers Karens Doodles and it is hard to see but I made a glittery witches shoe to hold candy and a magic wand. I will try to post a better picture later this week. I am ready for Halloween in the next week I will be showing some of my cards. Have a great week and make sure to play along!Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-13934866071796054252011-10-02T07:00:00.000-07:002011-10-02T07:00:05.093-07:00Purple Passion! This week at the Corrosive Challenge, we have a great challenge for you- Purple Passion! Make a card using purple and one other colour. I used one of this months sponsers Doodle Pantry. I love the bat and it was already coloured in(how cool is that). I also used orange as my other colour(since I don't consider black and white as colours) I then cutout black glitter bats with the Stampin up bat punch.
This month is a great month. I love Fall, everything about it. On the 5th is my husband's birthday and on the 19th is my moms. I love Thanksgiving, Halloween and as you can tell I get pretty excited about it all. family getting together, craft shows, pumpkins. Oh My!Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-85594883049346455432011-09-03T20:00:00.000-07:002011-09-05T10:14:03.567-07:00September

I can't believe it is already September!

This will be the first year that I have no children going back to school, and does it ever feel wierd. This week's corrosive challenge was to use one of our sponser. I use dudetime doodles. I love this image, my husband is in construction and for him to wear a white t shirt is ridiculous! It also went with my image that all construction workers, policemen, firemen(you get the idea) should work with no shirts on(again only the hot looking ones) Pretty sexist of me, I klnow but hey.... Anyways, I got lost in thought there for a moment, so please join us over at the corrosive challenge for some fun!
Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-12416347322933286542011-08-28T09:22:00.002-07:002011-08-28T09:32:59.240-07:00Dark and Dreary

So, naturally my mind went to Halloween. I used the owl from Stampin up's dark and dreary set and the flourish from Baroque Motifs. The fence is a Martha Stewart punch and I sponged the background in going grey.

It is with heavey heart that Janet(founder of the Corrossive challenge) is stepping down. I wish her all the best as she is just one fantastic person. Thanks you to Susan and Regan who have agreed to keep the challenges alive. In September we will be challenging you every other week.

I have forgot to post but would like to share(a little late) that on August 16th, my husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary. It was spent quietly but very content. I know it is corny but I think I love him more today than in the begininng, we have been through many trials and tribulations and made it our only slightly scarred. Here is a picture from that time(please be aware that it was the 80"s).

So I thought she deserved to be all in pink. I am ready for Fall!(not a big fan of this hot weather).

Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310565056938082963.post-15367433650177220632011-07-31T07:38:00.000-07:002011-07-31T07:38:00.874-07:00Manly
Sorry about the qaulity of the picture. Welcome Tiddly Inks and Whimsie Doodles. This wee's challenge was to use Red and White. I used an image from Tiddly Inks, this image is great, her name is Kellie!. There are not to many things that have my name spelled the right way. I was so excited to use her. I felt thaqt she called for some funky paper, she reminds of someone from the 60s or the 70's. Have fun with this challenge.Kelliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00573063438196013788noreply@blogger.com3
